The first, limited version, is a collectible. It has the two asph surfaces.
The second version has a single asph element, is "affordable," and said to
be just as good as version one but less expensive to manufacture. (Did I get
it right, Elders of Leica?) :-)

Hello luggers,

I've been told that there are two versions for the summilux 1.4/35 Asph :
One, the older one, with two aspherical surfaces and the newer with only one
aspherical surface.
Is this true?
Which one is the best?
Thanks for your help!
Thib.
