My fear was that it would damage the coating (didn't know what the
coatings are actually made of so i wasn't sure) We use it in a organic
chem lab  to clean all out glassware, we remove by placing it in a oven, I
do have to disagree with you on one thing, It does not leave a film on the
glass.
