The 1c puts out more light than the V35 and for me the dim light is the
worst drawback of the V35. The Halogen 75 watt bulb into a diffuser chamber
just can't blast thru some of the denser shadows of a slide to enlarge on
Cibachrome. I really dislike two minute and longer exposure times!

My comment : there are 2 models of the light mix chamber. The first
(1978-c.1987)has only one condenser ; the second (c.1987- 1992)has 2
condensers. It is easy to check. The second version is better of course :
the strong vignetting of the 1st has disappeared.
Check the lamp : you must use a Philips 13139. Neither a Philips 6853 nor
an Osram 64615. With these "erzatz" lamps, the intensity of light drops.
