ken,
oddly enough, the same kind of damage happened to MY M6hm this weekend. =
weirdest thing, though, is i have no idea how or when it happened. i =
was using the m6 yesterday and swapped lenses to use my 75 and when it =
came time to advance the film, it grabbed and wouldn't move. i couldn't =
believe it when i saw the dented rewind knob.
and this RIGHT before i head to denver for a friend's wedding where i =
(crazy fool, i know) have been asked to shoot the event.
thankfully, i have a good friend (LUG member Harrison McClary) who has =
offered to let me borrow his M6 for the weekend and the wedding. i'll =
take it as primary body and my m2 as backup.......
just received my Leica passport card in the mail earlier last week. i =
had no idea, when it arrived, that i would be needing to use the =
passport so SOON. =20
:-(

Subject: [Leica] Another Ken with a broken M
This weekend my M6 took short tumble to a hard restaurant floor. It =
landed
on the rewind crank. The crank bent and no longer fuctions. (damn) I =
guess
I'll be using the M4 and M2 for a while.
The lesson-Don't drop your M upside down!
Cheers!
