I have been running the Nikon LS2000 for about a month.  The software is
bad and some of the first delivered units had mechanical problems.  The
latest release of software is better and they seem to have solved the
other problems.  It is a high end professional scanner that can product
excellent electronic reproductions.

I have used, over the past seven years, several scanners and this is the
best $=results.  The speed, ICE technology and other features are good.

If you are not doing prepress or pre Iris scans then the Polaroid will
make good scans for Epson prints or Photo CD usage.
