I have been off line for some time so perhaps this article has been discussed.
August '98 Automobile magazine offers an article titled "Lord of the Leica", a
bio about Louis Klemantaski.  He took auto racing photographs primarily during
the 30's, 40's and 50's.  Some of his photographs are included in the article.
He did quite well shooting fast action without AF.  Regards, Scott
