I tend to use them somewhat exclusively; i.e. hand held vs tripod. However, I did take a series of slides ( Astia ) of a Riverboat ( late afternoon ) with the 180 on a tripod. The name ( Julia Belle Swain ) was only visible with a 22x loupe & the letters were razor sharp (shot at f2.8)....A lens for sharpness nuts;-)! The results from my R-50 f1.4 workout were great. Center sharpness was great at f1.4 & f2; focusing was fast & smooth. One helluva lens :-)! Looking forward to gathering the light with my R8s & Summiluxes........80 f1.4 & the new 50 f1.4! Tom D.
