     James,

I cannot answer your questions fully, but as I haven't seen any other
replies, I shall give you here at least are some partial or qualified
answers. I believe both the 21mm f/3.4 and 21mm f/4.0 would mount on
the CL, as far as that goes; but their protruding rear elements will
interfere with---perhaps even damage---the CL's meter arm. The more
recent 21mm f/2.8 lenses may not have that problem, but I'm not sure
about that. Finally, about the 24mm, I can't give you any firsthand
information; but I can only guess that since it is a much newer lens
than the 21mm SA, it is not just "as good" a lens, but a better one.

I hope you hear from more authoritative respondents.

Hi!

As I'm currently switching from a Leica R system to a CL system, I want to
add a 21/24mm lens to my 40 & 90mm lenses. Now which lenses will fit on my
CL? I'll be buying used and my first choice would be a 21 f3.4
super-angulon but will it mount? What about the 24? Is the 24 as good as
the 21SA?

Thanks,

James
