Are you wedded to Leica?  Do you want a zoom on your compact?  If the
answers to these are "no", then allow me to wax enthusiastic about the
Ricoh GR1.  Altogether the most well thought-out and well put-together
compact camera I've ever used.  And that lens will stand side by side
with most 28's in the world.  I must add that I have no experience with
the Leica compacts, so this advice may not be what you're seeking.  If
not then *I'll* go away :-)
