For anyone interested, there is a black finish 50mm f2 Summicron lens on
Ebay.com. It's the very early knurled focusing collar version lens made
in Wetzlar and from what I was told is quite rare.

I was told that this lens was produced in very low numbers and is quite rare with the
knurled focusing mount. Glass is in pristine condition with no marks or scratches on
coating. The lens barrel has minor wear on the black finish but is still in good condition
considering its age, This black Wetzlar lens would be great in any Leica collector's display
or is still quite useable as I heard the lenses from this vintage were among the sharpest.
Moderate reserve set on this lens. Successful buyer to prepay winning bid and shipping costs
