[Leica] Photo equipment repair training (off-topic)

This is a bit off-topic but still pertinent to the group.

I'm at the time of my life when a career change is feasible.  I've been a
photographer (strictly amateur) for most of my life and love not only the
process and results but also the gear.  (Yes, I admit to being something of
a hardware freak, although you wouldn't know it from my rather sparse
collection.)

I'd love to learn equipment repair but I'm having no luck finding somewhere
to learn.  There's nothing in my home locale (Denver) and nothing I've been
able to locate on the web using any search engines.

Someone must teach it, since there seems to be no lack of technicians.
(Good ones are a different matter.)  So where do I go and who do I find to
learn from?
