Are you thinking of a cap that fits over the hood when it's attached for use (like
the new 35mm ASPH Summicron) or are you thinking of a cap that fits over a hood
when it's stored in reverse on a lens?

I doubt that either condition applies to hood 12536 which (I think) dates from
around 1979.
