I had a similar eye opener last week on vacation. My youngest son (8) and I were wandering around the Toronto Zoo taking pictures. While "stalking" the zebras, I leaned over to give my son some advice on his composition. When he didn't take the photo, I asked "Why?". He smiled and politely replied "it just wasn't the image I was trying to capture". So ended my photo advice.
