Eric,

It says alot for the money moguls of Warner Bros doesn't it? I'm sure the
only art they recognize is the denomination and colour on paper money!

It isn't even as good as the trashy rag-mags of Tabloid country!!

Their mistake? They should have fired the "new wave look" visually
illiterate design department and give the photo department a major boost in
budget to make the magazine look like it did in it's prime.

If they had recognized the "Power of B&W" photography, certainly in the
frailties of human beings suffering in the US and about the world, they
could have turned it back into the power house high earning revenue
producer it once was! They could do high powered B&W entertainment pieces
with greater visual excitment than the trash colour "one picture" per story
they use now.

Hell they don't even have "good entertainment" images or layouts compared
to the "movie flik" magazines.

Besides, who the hell wants to look like all the rest when the rest are
better looking? And that isn't an endorsement of the rags mags! The
magazine should be put down and out of it's misery!!!!!!!

What they are doing is playing on the name of "LIFE" with the blindness of
today's design school mentality! Confusion is in!!!!!

Now that's something that
would sell well on the comic book stands!:) However, not many swim suits!
:) If the same gang of designers get control of Sports Illustrated pages
it'll die in no time, as the sports folks expect great powerful sports
images and layouts.

Not some airy fairy looking pages that you can't tell the jocks from the jerks!

IMHO!!!
