Photography is my hobby, not my avocation. I want to ENJOY my hobby so
I don't want to carry around a camera that is nothing more than a huge
Point and Shoot. I want to obtain the best quality, most interesting
Kodachrome transparencies that I am capable of producing using MY brain.

Beyond that, I feel sorry for those who cannot recognize or don't care
about quality. I have been fortunate to own and enjoy some of the best
products ever produced by Leitz, Gossen, Metz, Mercedes Benz, Browning,
Zeiss, etc. In the end, these products were far less costly to own than
lesser products which didn't last or couldn't be repaired or had no
resale value.

I'm not wealthy so I've had to save and sacrifice to obtain the best
that I can hope to afford. I saved 10 years before I could get my new
M3 in 1966. My new SL/2 kit in 1977 was a bit easier to obtain. It's
simply a matter of priorities and money management.

I'm not jealous of Dentists or others who have more wealth than I do.
What I don't like are wealthy owners who call their cars Porsch and
Beemers instead of Porsches and Bimmers:-)
