I've learned a great deal about photography since getting an M6. The camera forced me to thoroughly understand the practical rather than theoretical effects of apeture. And the lenses gave me the assurance that my disappointment in a photograph was not due to inferior optics. Is your statement above meant to justify calling Jim Brick's students "third rate morons"? As a teacher I find that attitude repulsive. Anyone with a will to learn should be encouraged. Your snobbery is one of the reasons Leica users sometimes engender scorn from folks using other camera systems.
