Subject: [Leica] HC-B and red dots

You might not believe this, but I just read in "Magnum - 50 Years at the
Front Lines of History" by Russell Miller that Inga Morath, a Magnum member
who spent some time assisting Cartier-Bresson, said that HC-B used to put
dots of red nail polish (AHA! Red Dots HE put on his camera) at his
"favorite shutter speed (1/125) and distance (4 meters).

Interesting. Another thing is that one piece of equipment he recommended to
Morath was a finder that zooms from 28mm-135mm so that one can look at a
scene reversed, or with a twist upside down. It helps in judging compositions.

Interesting. A favorite shutter speed, and a favorite distance. Hm... And
self-inflicted red dots by the master!
