Hi Frank,

Well mon ami, you had not wan to be doing much sports work and action
things and like you I'm only in this photgraphy thing for close to 45
years! :)

I have two reasons for motor drives and hopefull one for the R8 preey soon,
but not expected unti 2001! :)

I have onlt one eye and without a motor I have to remove the camera from my
eye everytime I have to advance. The other thing is I have shot many
olympics, Pan Ameican, pro sp[orts events and the motor without question is
a very valuable tool.

Sure I didn't do too bad when I used a Speed Graphic for sports while
shooting for the newspaper...but I gotta tell you as I know many other
photgrpahers will that with a motor your rate of dramatic and successful
images increase when using a motor drive.

No they're not the be all to end all, but in answer to your question,

<<<<" when I used one I resented carrying the extra weight. Am I the only
person who feels this way?!>>>>>>

Frank old buddy the answer is, "Yes!" :)
