It reminded me that some years ago, Porsche decided it would sell less cars at a premium price, hence exclusivity. Now we see only two models with many cross-over parts. This seems to be Leica's formula (less the p&s models). If I were them, I would maintain the strategy and not try to price myself amongst the Contaxs, Nikons, Cannons. In the end, Leica will get as many dollars out of us patrons...we just end up with less lenses, and hopefully, a greater appreciation for each one (at least that's my experience). Cheers, Arturo
