Of course Leica is an endangered species. And it is not digital or APS
that makes it so. It is the universal use of colour print processing
labs that churn out 4X5 prints of such poor quality that the cheapest
point and whatnot can produce crap indistinguishable from the 4x5
prints from an expensive Leica.

The odd Leica user that tries hard with technical expertise to produce
a good home made print must also realise that his hard work and
expensive equipment will be totally outclassed by a photographer in
medium format, for half the effort with a cheap used Rollieflex.

Sad but True.
