I will offer a sideways answer to Erwin's
question, which can be summarized as
"what makes working with a Lecia better
than working with something else, and
 how do you do it"

The woman I live with has very no-nonsense
attitude about gear, and teases me for all
the gear I have. But she likes results.
She laughs at my 3d stereo camera
(In progress, all Canon, sorry) but then
extolls the sometimes amazing results
to other people.

And as of about a month ago, I am told
to "bring the Leica".

Because she likes the pictures better.

Even when they're only 4x6s.

So long as the results oriented viewer
says "I want that one" or "use the camera
that made this one", there will be
room for M cameras in lots of households.
