On my first roll I tried out the aperture priority mode and shot the whole roll with that, using a 50MM lens. Five of the 36 images were way overexposed, so much so that the contact sheet showed no image at all. Looking at the negatives with a loupe, I can faintly see something, but the overexposure is so great that the frame is useless. All the rest of the frames seem correctly exposed. Any thoughts on this? It smells like a shutter problem to me, but I guess it could be the lens not stopping down to the correct exposure at the time of shutter release. Has anyone else had such a problem? I'm trying another roll with a different lens and using manual and aperture priority to see if I can narrow the problem. If it still persists you can bet I'll be on the phone to Ernst Hartmann in a flash. J. T.
