Surely nobody cares whether Leica mined their own iron ore or drilled for their own oil? The real issue is what glasses did they choose, and what manufacturing processes did they apply to them? (Yes, early in this century the Ford Rouge River plant had it's own iron smelters and steel furnaces, but that was a pretty extreme example of vertical integration.) bmw >
