The 1200 parts are cdesigned from scratch, usingthe now ellknown technique
of Finite Elements Analysis , a computer model for stress analysis.  80
Engineers worked for 6 years at these tasks.

Erwin: Are you sure of these numbers? If they worked full-time we have  a
total of 480 man-years;assuming that 1 man-year of engineering time with
overhead is at least $100,000, the total expenditure for the FEA design
would come to $48,000,000. Or perhaps they all worked only part time.
