I have owned and used nearly all of the Alpa equipment available over the
years. I became personal friends of the founders and owners, Samuel
(father/founder), and Benjamin (son and overall manager) Bourgeois. I
visited them in Switzerland every year for a decade back in the late 60's
and 70's. Unfortunately, at this time, I don't have the time to elaborate
on Alpa. Alpa carries a special place in my photographic heart. When I pick
up my 10D, my mind just takes over and I use it like I never stopped. Even
though I didn't use any Alpa equipment for 15 years. I owned and used Alpa
from 1960 to 1976. I still own my favorite, a 10D and 50mm Macro Switar.
