that is my opinion as well: what I missed most during my recent hiking 
through Morocco was a useable flash sync speed for daylight fill in 
situations. I had to let go quite a few nice portraiture opportunities 
because of that (no way to keep the great colours of the skies as well as 
balancing the light on the model's face). I do not carry large reflectors 
with me while hiking. A small flash gun would really be nice.
