Greg,  

The names of Leica lenses correspond to their maximum aperatures, not their
focal length.  This is true in most cases.  Summicrons are always f/2's,
Summiluxes f/1.4's, etc.  Tom A. just had a good posting on this in the last
couple of days (Elmar vs. Elmarit).  The Super Angulons are Schneider lenses,
and they own the Angulon name.  Telyts are always telephotos, irregardless of
the max. aperature.
