Is it true, as many seem to believe, that there are gangs of "red dot thieves" running amok in the cities of the World, mugging Leica owners to deprive their cameras of these cherished red dots? And, if you ARE mugged and your red dot is stolen, can't you simply buy a new one for a mere pittance from Leica? I did have a VW hood emblem stolen off my last Beetle (a '61 ragtop) by some gang member once, but that just entailed a visit to my junk shed for another. Mayhaps I should stock up in advance with a supply of red dots to have on hand for the day when I, too, become a Victim of Crime and find my red dot stolen!
