You should know that this lens was manufactured in Canada until recently. They moved production to Germany and redesigned the housing and made it lighter. The new German version is a few hundred dollars less than the Canadian version. I purchased one from CWO for $2,132 (after rebate and including shipping). Unfortunately I had to send it back because it would not focus correctly. There was another post by someone else about a defective-focusing German version of the lens. Tom Shea
