I'm aware of this problem with wide-angle lenses.  However, I thought that
50mm was the closest to the eye's natural angle (or whatever they call it)
and therefore it wouldn't be a problem.

Normally, when you photograph a portrait with a 50mm you get half the
upper body too (don't know about Leica, but this was the case with my
Nikon equipment of ten years ago).  I was hoping that with a 50mm NF, I
could get a bit closer, perhaps head and shoulders, while still retaining
a bit of the background.

Can anyone comment on feasibility of this?
