If I was to get into a life boat, I probably would leave the equipment
and film on the sinking boat. I'd instead try to take drinking water
and some things that would increase my chances of survival. The
equipment is insured.

Trying to choose two or three lenses for the rest of my life is an
exercise in futility. I could survive with a M-6 body a 24, a 50 and a
90, But I would miss the macro, the wide and the teles and zooms of my
SLR's. It would be sort of like playing golf with one club, It can be
done and it might be fun for a day, but it wouldn't be nearly as
enjoyable as a lifelong pursuit..
