2 years ago we went to the Boundary Waters Wilderness Area at the
Minn/Canada border.  Beautiful area with lots of wildlife, first moose I saw
in the wild (close up, too).  The drive up the shore of Lake Superior from
Duluth was enjoyable.  We went in September when it was 90 - 100 f in
Houston, but I recall at one lighthouse along the shore of the lake it was
40 degrees f at 10 am.
