(And this can be true, of course, in > contemporary painting, sculpture, writing, music, or any of the arts.) I'm sure Mike was right. Maybe I was smarting from the criticism more than I was admitting to myself. I don't know. But I would never deny anyone their right to express themselves anyway they want (child molesters excepted). Except maybe Joel Peter Witkin. (Just kidding!) But I did find the guy who canned his own feces and sold it for $10,000 to be the kind of the kind of tripe that's out there I object to. He even told collectors he was doing it just for the money and the thought it funny they were willing to pay for it, and sure enough, that didn't stop them. (Was on 60 Minutes). But my language was a bit strong. So I apologize for going a bit overboard. ========== Eric Welch St. Joseph, MO http://www.ponyexpress.net/~ewelch They have what is rare in still photography - the mobility of film, motion, evanescence, fluidity...your camera has a thousand eyes which are directed by love and feeling. - -Anias Nin
