Subject: [Leica] Innovations we could REALLY use

Leica's reduced prices and user-oriented new products are great, but why
stop at $500 M6 rebates and Tri-Elmars? Here are some Leica innovations that
could really make a diff:

(1) The power line filter: Removes those unsightly utility lines and other
blemishes from your images. Stack two or more to enhance portraits.

(2) VIP Passport Protection: Repairs or replaces your gear BEFORE it's
broken.

(3) Cutting-edge nomenclature: Leica red dot is replaced by modern
holographic insignia done in an eye-catching, yet tastefully understated
manner. At certain angles, it changes to reveal a 3-dimensional dollar sign,
or other popular icon or brand logo. An alternative, limited edition is
offered, featuring embossed covers cleverly textured to resemble electrical
tape.

(4) Leica Style Guide: Explains the how's and why's of allowing 3 Leica
bodies to crunch together as they dangle from your neck, and the appropriate
tone of casual indifference to convey when wearily explaining that they are
"just tools". Really impresses friends!

(5) Shark's fin (not Sharkskin) coverings: Simultaneously satisfies cravings
for fine dining and fine photos.

(6) Peek-a-boo packaging: Cleverly placed cutouts in shipping cartons allow
use of camera and lenses, without ever removing them from original
packaging.

(7) Leica R8EK: Ensures best exposure results under all lighting conditions
without fussy metering techniques--autobrackets all images from -5-2/3 stops
to +5-2/3 stops in 1/3 stop increments.

Wishing everyone the best this April 1st,
Jeff
