Yesterday we had our 'Leica Historical Society' AGM and 'Leica Day' in Birmingham, England. About 160 people attended. Visiting speakers were James Lager (noted Leica historian) and Brian Bower, ex president of the Royal Photographic Society and now Leitz sponsored lecturer. Both were very entertaining though they both seemed to be rather frustrated at having books only a few weeks away from publication! It was a day of meeting and greeting, buying and selling, for some of us it was the first chance to see a Tri-Elmar in the flesh. For others it was a chance to meet old friends or make new ones. A fine lunch was included and some fine pictures were exhibited too, nice to see that some of the 'collector' types haven't forgotten what the Leica was made for! Jem Kime BTW, I've been off the group for a week or two, have Tri-Elmar deliveries started yet?
