Subject: Re: [Leica] New Apo-Elmarit 1:2,8/180mm

Boy was I surprised to see a 180/2.8 APO Elmarit in fridays Leica
shipment. Unfortunately the lens is already spoken for. I did get to
look at it when the customer picked it up. It is unfortunate that it
cannot be used with the APO 1.4x. This is because of a stationary element
at the back of the lens. What is REALLY cool is the internal focussing.
It is SOOO smooth. Anxious to hear a report back on the performance.
