Re: Faulty Winder for R8

We had difficulty getting the winder to work on the demo R8. After cleaning
the contacts thoroughly it finally worked. When I tried it at home on my R8 I
did everything; cleaned the contacts, took it off and on and made sure that it
was tightly seated on the R8. Still did not work. I returned the camera and
the winder to the dealer and they it turn shipped it to Leica per their
request. I don't have a problem if something fails. I have a problem when no
one cares. This was not the case with my situation. Bill Liska, at Carolina
Camera in Greensboro is one of the most honorable people that I have ever done
business with. He is truly concerned about it and everything that I have
purchased from him. He takes care of his customers and I can recommend him,
and his integrity, to anyone looking for the best service possible. I trust
him completely. Obviously Leica cared because they wanted to make sure that
it would work, as well. My R8 has worked flawlessly, thus far.
