Not correct. As a matter of fact, with any Leica 3 cam lens, the R8 does
matrix metering. With an F5, if you don't have an AF or AI-P lens (there's
only two of those) - that is, a lens with a microprocessor, you don't get
any kind of matrix metering. Period. That was one major complaint on the
Nikon list when people found out that F5 fact. The F4 could do it.
