Subject: Re: [Leica] Harrison Filters

H&H filters are glass; I do not believe they are coated but do not know
for certain. I rarely use filters: my principal interest in H&H are neat
things like Bay III lenshoods for Rollei or B50 for Hassie under $30, and
immeasurably better ones than the junk sold by Kenko.

I have never had a bad filter from Tiffen save for their polarizers, which
I have found to be unuseable. I have had erratic results from Hoya, some
good, some bad. I have never had a bad filter from Leica or Zeiss or B+W
or Heliopan. But, again, I rarely use filters -- most of my casual work is
either natural-light b&w or daylight chromes; when I shoot the latter
indoors, I use a Metz flash. I have a bunch of polarizers but rarely use
any of them.

My signature tag-line is Scots Gaelic, and it was astute of you to notice!
"Never did a man die without someone beting grateful."
