I don't think they are the newest version, but you should check to see if this is the latest version (with the built-in hood). The 24mm lens is great, but it's too far away from the 50mm lens for my tastes. And optically, it's not nearly as good as the 19 or the 28. The new 28mm lens is a very good lens. In fact, I hear it's better than the current M 28. I'd rather get a 28mm lens, and then a 19. But you might want to go with the 35 Summicron and then a 24 or 19 later.
