Interesting. I can see why an out of production pair with consecutive
serial numbers would command a premium price.

I was just wondering if I turned up at a large Leica dealer wearing an
optimistic expression and waving a bunch of 50s, could I order a pair of
bodies from the factory without such a cost penalty?
