From: Leikon35@aol.com
Date: Tue, 24 Feb 1998 20:54:25 EST

Most of you are too young to remember Gene Lester who in was in
addition to being a Saturday Evening Post photographer for many
years, a CBS & Hollywood Studio photographer with his own studio
on Sunset & Vine. He also gave me my first Hollywood job in 1948.

Gene founded the American Society of Camera Collectors which held
semi-annual shows in Burbank, CA but when he died a few years ago,
 no more shows.

An attempt to restore interest in this Antique, Collector, User Camera
and Photographica Show is being made by Dr. Stu Cole, the new prez.
The show will be held at the Pasadena Convention Center, 300 E. Green
 St. on Saturday, April 11, 1998 - 10:00am to 3:00pm.
