 Frank, the evil Solm elves may have their problems, but selling used
camera for new is fraud.  You can be sure this is not what is happening.

At a startup stage of a new model, usually the batches of the cameras
are small.  Also consider the other cameras still in production to fill
in gaps, the M6, R8 etc.    Plus serial number ranges may be allotted,
but not yet released.

The differences in engravings is interesting though.
