As a matter of fact, they do compare favorably. But Hasselblad? Only up to a specific size. But that's like comparing apples and oranges. No, more like apples and orangutans. Why? Because you can do things with the Leica you can't with the Hassleblad. More extreme focal lengths, different depth of field for the same angle of view. Carrying in low light and shoot available light without a tripod. Lots and lots of things. All the Hassleblad offers in the area of advantage is larger negative and very nice lenses. But they aren't as good as Leica lenses. MF lenses don't need to be as sharp. Contrast, that's another thing. But that's a whole other discussion. The best thing is to have both. ========== Eric Welch St. Joseph, MO http://www.ponyexpress.net/~ewelch The generation of random numbers is too important to be left to chance. -Robert R. Coveyou
