Subject: [Leica] Ansel Adams and Leitz

Adams may have said he preferred the Contax -- and I, of all folks,
wouldn't argue with him! (I have a LOT more Zeiss Ikon gear than I do
Leica stuff.) But Adams was a regular instructor at the Leica Academy in
the '40's and '50's and claimed, repetitively, that he never appreciated
miniature-format work until he used a Leica.

See the Leitz adverts of the era: they trumpeted this loud and long.
