You may have deleted or corrupted an essential Windows file.  Try a fresh
install of whatever image program you're using, as well as scanner driver.
If that doesn't work, you may need to re-install Windows.  If you re-install
Win 95 to the same location as before, your original settings and icons
should be retained.  - JB.
