Stopped down as little as 1/2 stop, it sharpens up considerably. At 'normal' shooting apertures, the lens is a sharp or sharper than any other, IMHO. If you need the 1.4 opening, it is there. You are right about those damn filters, though. A pain in the butt. Dan C.
