OK you scotch drinking photographers, stay on topic!

Nikon is akin to Laphroig -- Very well known (especially for its flash),
available everywhere, strong, a little gritty, good medicine for your photo
career, but somewhat lacking in subtlety

Canon and Glenmorangie -- Light, palatable, appreciated by women, easy to live
with

Leica R8 and Lagavulin -- Big and heavy, a little overwhelming in terms of
weight and cost, not altogether well known, but full-bodied, big hearted, and
perfect for special occasions

Leica and Talisker -- Rich and complex, but beautifully balanced, smooth,
satisfying, and expensive
