Due to, ah, 'different priorities', a bunch of these were never picked up by the German military and were, after the War, sold to the civilian market. Burke & James acquired many of these and mounted them to fit the demand of the marketplace. They are fine lenses, readily available in a variety of mounts. Go for it, brother!
