Hi Pete,

I can't remember specifics on the SL screen, but I do re-call that it was
very bright. However I don't think it was any brighter than the R8 matt
screen. I'm surprised your having such a problem and don't understand the
"courseness" you are referring to.

First place I'd call would be Leica in NJ! Besides they could tell you if
you could get one from germany. Ernst Hartmann or Nils Thorsen at Leica
Camera in Northvale would be the best bet to get an answer.
